American Legion Post 143 – Autumn 2025 Update

Looking ahead, we have important projects underway:

  • Plumbing repairs in the hall.
  • Donations of lumber and time are needed to build a new Flag Shed.
  • HAM radio operators are working to build a communications network capable of reaching beyond the Methow Valley during emergencies.
  • KFAC-LP 105.5 FM is expanding to better support emergency communications.
  • We’re even exploring a solar array to keep the station running during power outages.
  • We also need to address two Chinese elm trees that are encroaching on our building.
With all of this ahead, we remain optimistic and ready to move into the new year at full throttle.

The American Legion’s Four Pillars of Service

“For God and Country…” The four pillars are:

1. Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation

2. National Security

3. Americanism

4. Children & Youth

American Legion Post 0143 Methow Valley serves our community in Twisp WA by hanging flags on participating businesses in our town.
We call this “Flag Service“.

This is how we support our Veterans Hall along with Membership Dues and kindly Donations from the community.

The Four Pillars of Service was the Foundation for the reasons FCC granted our Methow Valley Post 0143  a construction permit for our low-power FM Radio Station.

Our Radio Station Call Letters are KFAC-LP.

We support local musicians and our local music artists.

Providing community education and entertainment on a Veterans Organization patriotic FM Station.

Twisp has something to teach the world as we grow together serving one another in our small, rural community.

Thank You!
